The Drop Hole is growing, and we want you on the team.

Hey Drop Hole folk. We are building toward something bigger, and we need a few passionate people to help us cultivate this community and keep fresh content flowing. To do that, we are opening two brand new staff roles, and we are looking for the right players to fill them.

Builders @Builder
You will either be handed build goals or given free reign to follow your own vision, expanding server builds and crafting the event structures that bring our world to life.

RP-Staff @RP-Staff
Your mission is to drive the server's roleplay. Run the story, host RP events, and stay woven into the community both here on Discord and in game. You will have near total creative freedom to take the narrative wherever you want (within reason, of course. Do not get too crazy on us).

How to apply

What comes next
We have the ability to greatly expand what this server can be, and this is our first real step toward a grander community. Keep your eyes open, because another announcement is right around the corner with some exciting ideas on the horizon. We are also planning to jump to the newest version of Minecraft the moment we can. We are currently waiting on a handful of third party plugins to update first, but we are watching the timeline for the Sulfur Cube update closely, and you can bet we will be cooking up brand new custom mechanics the second it lands.

Server Update: 26.1.2

We have updated the entire server to Minecraft 26.1.2. Make sure your client is on 26.1.2, the latest version, before you log in.

If you run into any bugs, use /bugreport in game.

Note: the bug report command does not let you attach a screenshot. If you want to add one, post it in #bug-report-photos and it will be attached to your report within 30 minutes of you sending it.

Season 1 is live: The Amazing Digital Circus

The Drop Hole is open and Season 1 has begun. We are still early. The world is young, the factions are still finding their footing, and most of the map is unclaimed. A good time to arrive.

What this server is

The Drop Hole is a roleplay Minecraft server built tight to a Discord server. The two are not separate things. Chat crosses both ways, your faction is a Discord role and an in-game allegiance at the same time, and a custom bot tracks your character, your activity, and your faction's treasury. You write an original character, pick one of four factions, and play.

What you do from there is your call. Claim a couple of chunks and build in peace, where neutral land is protected, no PvP, no raids, just survival and whatever you want to make of it. Or plant a Raidable Designation Flag and opt into the other half of the server: a raid system where bases have real block health, raiders breach with specialized TNT, and defenders answer with turrets, alarms, and traps. Both are first-class ways to play, and most players end up doing some of each.

The bigger picture

Factions. Four of them: The Abstracted, The Cainiacs, The Sillys, The Performers. Every job you work feeds your faction's treasury, and the faction votes together on how that treasury gets spent.

The Outlands. Past the faction world's border lies a lawless band of the map. No claims, no protection, PvP always on. Higher risk, fewer rules, and the only place a hidden base truly stays hidden.

Seasons. Every couple of months the theme wipes and resets, with a new spawn, a new story, and new characters. Your builds out in the survival world carry over. Right now the theme is The Amazing Digital Circus.
